Mike Jones is at it again! Just when you thought he finally disappeared, he returns as a suspense writer.
Losing Picasso
When artist and illustrator Chris Armstrong died on April 23rd at age 66, bass fishing lost its Picasso. I lost a friend and collaborator of over 25 years.
Ain't it a bitch
At some point in the history of FLW, I figured they might stop being the goofy little brother to BASS and actually do the right thing. I guess that ought to teach me about positive thinking.
B is for Brown Nose
There is one big problem in being an outdoor writer: Other outdoor writers. Nowadays, most are only writers in title only, lacking the discernible skills necessary to avoid embarrassing themselves or their craft. Anyone who embraces the title of “blogger” pretty much fits this description.
Help

"Best of Show" Live Target - I Pity the Fool
Just when I thought the world couldn’t get any crazier, here comes the LiveTarget BaitBall. At first, I thought this was a carefully crafted ICAST hoax, something to brighten the spirits of those in Las Vegas. I mean, really, who could look at this “concept” lure, listen to the exaggerated claims and reach the conclusion that, yes, I will spend $16.99 on a clear plastic art project?
P. S. I Love You
A few months ago, I embarked on something of a social experiment. I wondered what would happen if someone finally spoke candidly about the world of fishing. What would be the reaction to unvarnished opinions about the realities of bass fishing and the industry at large? Would those who place themselves in the public eye – in an industry that knows nothing of critical analysis – continue to do and say and promote outrageous things?
