California: More Fishing Closures Ahead
Disappointing news for California saltwater anglers as the 30x30 process continues down an anti-fishing path. Governor Gavin Newsom's executive order for California's 30x30 plan continues to exclude recreational saltwater fishing input.
While 30x30 looks to be on a more rational and fishing access friendly route at the federal level, unless the process drastically changes in California AFTCO believes more unnecessary fishing closures are ahead.
