Flow and Throw; California Delta Striped Bass Action
YBFV ALWAYS LIKES TO MIX THINGS UP SOME VIDEO OF RECENT TRIPS OUT FISHING OUR CALIF. DELTA WE HAVE LEARNED TO NEVER PASS A FLOWING IRREGATION / FLOOD CONTROL PIPE THESE TEND TO BE MAGNETS FOR FEEDING STRIPED BASS ... A SIMPLE SWIMBAIT SEEMS BEST , YOU WANT TO USE 3/4 TO 1OZ.
At Your Backyard Fish’n Videos, we always like to mix things up. This video of our recent Delta outing shows that we have learned that you should never pass up a flowing Irrigation/flood control pipe. They tend to be magnets for feeding striped bass. A simple swimbait seems to work best. Use a ¾ to 1-ounce jig head, when the water is flowing anything lighter will not sink fast enough. More times than not, the fish are tight to the pipe waiting to be first to eat.
Try D&M Custom Baits, they offer a wide variety of swimbaits, and they all produce on the California Delta.
‘When we see a pipe with flow, we throw.’
