As an angler, we all have our goals that we set out to reach, and when we do reach them, they quickly turn into our proud accomplishments. For many, it's their personal best catch, while other times it may be the way you caught the fish that truly makes it special. It may not be an easy task, to pick out one's most memorable moment, however I'm sure there is one or two moments for us all, that stand out amongst the rest

The most memorable moment for me wasn't one of my catches. It was putting my nephew, who I love more than life itself, on his very first bass, when he had just turned 4 years old. We were fishing a small lake near New Haven, Connecticut, and using a bobber with night crawlers. I started off casting out for him, and he would do the rest. He quickly caught on, and began to do it all by himself, cast to catch. He grasped the concept of watching his bobber go under, and figured out how to set the hook in a timely fashion.

This was without a doubt my most memorable moment as a fisherman, but also as an uncle.

What's your most memorable moment?
